The Katy Prairie Promenaders Square Dance club was organized in 1970. We are a member of the Houston Square and Round Dance Council, and are one of approximately 40 square dance clubs in the greater Houston area. The Promenaders have approximately 60 members ranging in age from teenagers to early 90's. Members live in Katy, Sugarland, Richmond, Sealy, and West Houston.   Club dues are $15.00/person per month or $30.00/couple per month. Lessons are $5.00/person per lesson.  We love visitors and visiting other clubs.
Fred Goynes of El Campo is the club Caller. Fred has been calling since the 1960's and calls both locally and nationally. Fred is an excellent Caller and fun/patient teacher to all of our new students.  He was named the HSRDC Caller of the year in 2009.
